The John French Consultancy (“JFC” or the "Consultancy") is a leading specialist Corporate Management Services business advising both UK and International companies.

The Consultancy was founded, and is run by, John French a business entrepreneur with over 40 years track record in Business and Management.  JFC provides corporate and commercial assistance to ‘growth companies’ either seeking to enter the PLC marketplace through pre-IPO, IPO, or looking to enhance their existing PLC listing.    

The ‘growth cap arena’ requires a unique understanding and level of experience, and typically Boards and Management Teams – with their focus on driving the commercial element of their business – require the assistance of an outside City specialist to manage and nurture the PLC element of their company from the early stage capital raising through to IPO and aftermarket advice and implementation.

JFC advises businesses on matters pertaining to:

John has sat on numerous Boards over recent years. With his broad based experience of industry and commerce, he has been able to work in a wide variety of industrial sectors ranging from automation, building and construction, insurance, health, leisure and security to name but a few. He also sits on the PLUS Markets panel as Chairman – where he has gained a unique insight to the growth of this market. John is also well known and is called upon regularly to provide comment, in both the Trade and Investment press.  John is also regularly featured on leading business television channel CNBC-Europe, where he provides insight on both sector and market issues.

He has either directly or indirectly, as a result of his own introductions or working with Advisors, introduced in excess of £50m of investment into companies in which he has been involved as a Non-Executive Chairman or Non-Executive Director. As such, he has built a significant network of professional advisors, press contacts and institutional & retail investors alike.  

Typically JFC is appointed at the outset of a company's pre-flotation or fundraising stage, enabling the Consultancy to make the appropriate introductions. JFC initially operates on a competitive fixed retainer with a pre-agreed levels of increase linked to specific stages of success to either the introduction of funds or the successful introduction to a listed marketplace. John tends to work either as a Consultant or a Non-Executive Chairman or Director; depending on the company or market requirements in question.  John has successfully turned around a number of companies.  Directorships past and present include Resources in Insurance Group plc, Sutherland Health Group plc, Air Music & Media Group plc (now named MBL Group plc), Croma Group plc, Avanti Screenmedia Group plc and Greener Group plc, to name but a few.

John and JFC are well known and recognised throughout the Square Mile and within the smaller company community.
